Established in November 1999, Sunway Medical Centre is a premier private hospital in Malaysia, accredited by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS). It is located in Sunway City, Malaysia’s first fully integrated green township.

As the largest private quaternary hospital in the country, Sunway Medical Centre offers a full spectrum of healthcare services, featuring 810 licensed beds, over 230 consultation suites, 18 operating theatres, and two multi-storey car parks with 1,470 parking bays.

In response to the growing demand from international patients and the expansion of medical tourism, the hospital has undertaken a significant expansion. Adjacent to the existing facility, Tower C launched its first phase in October 2016 with the opening of the Cancer & Radiosurgery Centre and the Nuclear Medicine Centre. These are complemented by other Centres of Excellence, including the Digestive Health Centre and Dialysis Centre. Phase two, which introduced a 10-storey tower offering single-room wards and consultation suites, began operations in mid-2017. The expansion continued with the opening of Towers D and E in mid-2023, increasing the hospital’s capacity to 885 beds and solidifying its position as one of the region’s leading private medical centres.

Sunway Medical Centre delivers a wide array of medical services, including state-of-the-art technologies for both outpatient and inpatient care, comprehensive health and wellness programmes, and 24-hour emergency services. Notably, it was the first private hospital in Malaysia to establish a dedicated Children’s Emergency department. The hospital’s services are supported by a team of over 3,800 professionals, including medical consultants, allied health staff, and highly trained nursing personnel.
